It is a pleasure to provide my recommendation of John Morse as a home improvement contractor and builder. John has done several home renovation projects for us including a complete bathroom remodel and a deck refurbishment, as well as several other miscellaneous repair jobs. He has always completed jobs on a timely basis and within the prescribed budget. Most importantly his workmanship has always been of the highest quality, as evidenced by comments from other contractors who have seen his work. I can't tell you what a great job John and his team did in finishing my basement! We are just thrilled with our new living space. It was a mess before he started with pipes and wires and ductwork running every which way. He meticulously re-routed everything and formed beautiful tray ceilings in all the rooms. He build a large family room, a kitchenette, a bedroom and a full bathroom. The family room turned out great with a bay window, open stairway with a banister, a bookshelf, beaded board with a chair rail on one wall and wooden columns around the support posts. The Kitchenette has cabinets and counter tops, sink, microwave and a refrigerator with ice maker. The kitchen and bath have a beautiful tile floor. We have really enjoyed the extra space that use to be just full of junk now we have a great place for the kids to be with there friends. I am hoping that next year I can have John build a screened in porch for us. I have no doubt that the quality and craftsmanship will be of the highest caliber in any job that John does.

We can't begin to thank you enough for all you have done around our home. In this day and time, it truly seems impossible to find an honest and qualified contractor. We honestly felt that a problem we were having in our house would never go away. The original builder of the house couldn't repair it. Then we had another contractor come out and make repairs that we thought would take care of the problem. He did not look far enough to make proper repairs. Needless to say, we were extremely frustrated. Fortunately, you came highly recommended by a friend and we are so appreciative. You not only came in and found the complete source of the problem, but did a quality and timely repair.

When we placed our home on the market we needed to add a closet to the bonus room. We were in a time crunch to add this and you came out and spent hours upon hours non- stop to finish the project on time. We not only find you to be a quality craftsman, but a quality individual. In fact, our son took to you like he rarely does with people. He was sad when "Mr. John" wasn't around for him to observe and talk to!

John was hired to remedy a leaking skylight as well as re-paint the living room (walls and trim), which incurred water damage to the ceiling. His estimate was reasonable and detailed; and he was able to finish in less time than planned. The quality of the work is excellent and he is a wonderful person to work with.

The quality of work performed by John was A++. I wouldn't hesitate to have him back to do any additional work from repairs to adding a room or deck. He goes the extra mile and does excellent work. He remodeled two bathrooms for us. He took out the old cast iron tubs and put a shower stall in one and a Jacuzzi in the other. He added a bay window, he manufactured and installed a marble sink top, made cabinets, moved a door and did it all in budget and within time frame discussed. He also did tile work around the Jacuzzi. Both bathrooms are absolutely beautiful. You get more than your money's worth when you hire this man.

If you live on your own and you encounter major home repairs (or even small ones), and if you're like me and believe understanding contractors is akin to understanding rocket science, listen carefully.....use Morse Trades. John Morse came highly recommended by the company that discovered alarmingly devastating structural termite damage under my porch. So I called. He came out and explored the damage, then sent me via e-mail a very comprehensive estimate. Actually, the estimate included every nut and bolt, explained exactly what the cost was going to be and how long it would take to repair. It also offered alternatives with additional cost estimates. We proceeded. It took a couple of weeks to complete. The most impressive part of this project was the attention to detail and care for quality work. This hasn't happened to me before. Normally I am at the mercy of a group of contractors. They believe me, as a woman living alone, hasn't a clue. In a mysteriously vague and patronizing way, they do as they please with "oh by the way, little lady, this is going to cost you a little bit more....." John let's you know exactly what you're going to get. Best of all they are like old time craftsmen, taking such care that you'd think they were building their own place. I admire people who take pride in their work, have a sincere work ethic, show up when they say they will and are careful not to let the dogs out. During the construction process, I'd come home each day to see the progress. I'd find John and his crew working late, they'd tidy up before they left and be back bright and early the next morning. My porch looks wonderful, the house is freshly painted, I have new French doors in my kitchen and am saving up to build a screened porch in Spring. Guess who I'm going to call!

John has professionally installed kitchen and bathroom wall tile for us in a very timely manner. I believe in John's workmanship so much that he will be doing floor tile for us in January. John Morse and his father-in-law did excellent work. John's bid was affordable and very competitive. We called 7 contractors in our area for bids, 5 showed up and 3 came back with bids. We choose John because he was prompt, polite and his bid was within our budget. Our screened in porch looks better than I could have ever imagined. The only regret I have is that we didn't do it sooner. We have had so many compliments from neighbors, family and friends. We are working with John now on a project to enlarge our mountain cabin and deck. We look forward to working with John ain. His craftsmanship is excellent.
